Farmersgolf® Game rules
Farmersgolf® is a ball game, where a leather ball (14 cm in diameter) is hit at the start (a blue flag) with a Farmersgolf® club in the direction of a hole marked with a red flag. The hole is a bucket (20 cm in diameter) which has been dug into the ground. The goal of Farmersgolf® is to get the ball in the least amount of hits in the bucket. A Farmersgolf® course typically has 10 holes.
With Farmersgolf® two teams compete against each other. Each team consists of a maximum of 5 players, uses its own ball and Farmersgolf® club (a golf club with a wooden shoe on the end.) The team that is farthest away from the hole starts. The team players start in consecutive order. The game or competition starts with both teams hitting their ball from the starting point. The team that gets their ball nearest to the hole starts.
The ball may always be moved by a club width, however the ball may never be moved towards the hole. A hole is made when a ball is inside the bucket. Before the start of a new hole the ball is moved 4 meters towards the new hole.
The amount of hits are recorded on a game form. On the game form the names of the players are registered. The amount of hits per hole are registered against the number of the holes (1 – 10), . The team with the least amount of hits is the winner.
Game modes
Farmersgolf® can also be played individually. Every player has his own Farmersgolf® club and own Farmersgolf® ball. And again, the goal is to get the ball in the least amount of hits inside the bucket. The player records his own score and frequently also that of the competition. Farmersgolf® competitions are played at various locations in the Netherlands and elsewhere.
